The 19th Nottingham Boys' Brigade Company is part of the Nottingham Battalion, Boys' Brigade, which itself is a member of the world wide Boys' Brigade organisation. Our Company origins date back to 1922 at the Albion Congregational Church on Sneinton Road, Nottingham but we re-established ourselves in Bakersfield when the Albion closed as a church in 1990. All sections of the 19th Company now meet at the:

The Dales United Reformed Church
Corner of Parkdale & Eastdale Road
Bakersfield
Nottingham

MEETING TIMES

The Company presently has three sections according to age, these being as follows:

ANCHOR SECTION
for Boys & Girls aged 4 to 8 years, Fridays 6.00 to 7.00 p.m.

Junior Section
for Boys & Girls aged 8 to 11 years, Fridays 7.00 to 8.30 p.m.

Company/Senior Section
for Boys & Girls aged 11+, Fridays 7.00 to 9.45 p.m.

Note: Ages quoted here are equivalent to their school age. A Junior usually joins the Company Section in the year he goes up to Senior school, i.e. the school year in which he is 12. Generally we do not meet when schools are on holiday although occasionally we might take part in some special activity during these periods.
The Object of The Boys' Brigade is: "The advancement of Christ's kingdom among Boys and the promotion of habits of Obedience, Reverence, Discipline, Self-respect and all that tends towards a true Christian manliness."
